    A network of three blind schools across Gujarat and Maharashtra needed a single accessible-learning platform their 120+ students could use across Classes 6–12 — for textbook reading, exam prep, and daily independence skills — without requiring teachers to manage individual licences or device repairs.

    State government disability commission pilot

    Challenge

    A state government disability commission wanted to evaluate SMARTON for inclusion in a state-funded assistive technology programme. The pilot needed to test deployment logistics across urban and rural districts, language coverage across three regional languages, and reporting compatibility with existing state MIS systems.

    30-beneficiary pilot across 3 districts (1 urban, 2 rural). Remote onboarding via WhatsApp video for beneficiaries in remote locations; in-person camps in district headquarters.
