About SMARTON

    Built for one reason: independence

SMARTON gives blind and visually impaired people independent access to the world — through software that's accessible by design, hardware-agnostic by choice, and built alongside the community it serves.

    Our mission

SMARTON began when our founding team saw — first-hand — what it meant for a visually impaired person to lose privacy and independence every time they needed to read a bill, identify a banknote, or step into an unfamiliar room. That moment became the company. We set out to build accessibility that didn't depend on a sighted helper.

Existing accessibility tools were either screen readers (which only read screens) or single-feature gadgets that solved one problem and ignored the rest of daily life. SMARTON brings education, work, navigation, news, entertainment and social connection into one accessible platform — built audio-first, screen-reader native, and tested by visually impaired users on every release.

Our goal is to make every smart-glasses platform on the market accessible to every visually impaired person, anywhere in the world. SMARTON is the software. The world's manufacturers are our hardware partners.

    Technology approach

    Software-first. Hardware-agnostic.

SMARTON is a platform, not a single product. By building an open SDK that integrates with any compatible smart glasses, we ensure visually impaired individuals are never locked into one hardware choice. As better glasses emerge, SMARTON is already there.

    Open SDK for glasses manufacturers

Any Bluetooth-enabled smart glasses can integrate the SMARTON accessibility platform. One integration, instant reach to the global VI market.

Every SMARTON feature is built so that the entire experience can be navigated by voice or screen reader — no visual UI required at any step.
